Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a senior controls specialist to lead design, programming, and maintenance of industrial control systems on the factory floor, integrating AI outputs for adaptive automation.

You will bridge OT and AI platforms to enable real-time decision-making, predictive maintenance, and closed-loop control, while ensuring safety, reliability, and scalability as we advance toward Industry 4.0 capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of process control experience.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, robotics) with AI/ML (machine learning) integration for adaptive control and edge computing.
• Integrate AI outputs into control loops (e.g., predictive maintenance triggers or anomaly-based shutdowns).
