Job summary

The Partners Alliance is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to help start up brownfield operations in metals supporting aerospace markets. You will design, implement, and optimize industrial automation and control systems to drive production efficiency and reliability.

In this role you will lead automation projects, troubleshoot complex systems, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to enhance safety, quality, and energy efficiency in a high-performance manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or automation engineering.
3+ years of experience in industrial controls or manufacturing engineering.
Strong PLC programming knowledge, preferably Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix.
Experience with HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, servos, and instrumentation.
Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Support and optimize PLC, HMI, SCADA, drive, and motion-control systems for extrusion production equipment.
Lead automation and capital improvement projects including installations and modernization.
Design and implement control strategies to improve performance and reliability.
Coordinate with maintenance, vendors, and OEMs on projects.
Support commissioning, startup, and validation of new equipment and controls systems.
Drive safety, quality, and energy efficiency improvements.
