Role Description

This is a full-time role as a Senior Controls Engineer located in Woodland, WA. Remote work options may be available for candidates with relevant experience. The Senior Controls Engineer will be responsible for process control, some electrical engineering, troubleshooting, and project startups. Daily tasks will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Position Specific

• Review, revise and support electrical specification documents (panel and field electrical drawings) to ensure accuracy
• Develop PLC code for processing equipment controls, adhering to strict functional guidelines
• Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADAs (FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition)
• Manage and prioritize multiple on-going projects in various stages in collaboration with the assigned teams
• Provide post-project support to customers as needed through routine follow-up, instrument calibration and system troubleshooting
• Develop and maintain an accurate and comprehensive site log
• Evaluate existing customer interfaces, helping define a new integration as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or similar technical field (preferred)
• Six (6) years’ experience in a similar role; sanitary liquid process control experience (preferred)
• Prior experience with and knowledge of food and dairy processing methods and regulations (preferred)
• Six (6) years’ experience utilizing automation development software
