Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant controls engineering experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience programming PLC and/or DCS systems in industrial settings (Siemens, Rockwell, ControlLogix, CompactLogix).
• Experience with AVEVA InTouch HMI, Historian, and System Platform.
• Previous chemical plant operations experience.
• Experience with safe gas and chemical handling procedures.

A customer of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to support the design, programming, installation, startup, and troubleshooting of automated industrial control systems within a chemical manufacturing environment.

This person will work heavily with PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, instrumentation, and industrial networking, supporting both new and existing plant processes.

This is a 12 month contract-to-hire.

Skills and Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant controls engineering experience
• Strong experience programming PLC and/or DCS systems in industrial settings (ex: Siemens, Rockwell, ControlLogix, CompactLogix)
• Strong understanding of instrumentation and instrument engineering
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience with AVEVA InTouch HMI, Historian, and System Platform
• Previous chemical plant operations experience
• Experience working with ultra-high-purity materials or semiconductor manufacturing
• Experience with safe gas and chemical handling procedures
