As our team's controls authority, you will:- Develop new and or improved processes through the application of theoretical and practical engineering.- Architect, write and debug PLC ladder logic/IPC SW with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, detailed, maintainable and reusable.- Implement (ANSI/ RIA15.06/OSHA compliant) control reliable safety systems for safeguarding robots, gantries, conveyors, and other high volume manufacturing equipment- Generate aesthetically simple HMI screens for sophisticated machinery while providing sufficient feedback for fixing- Performs assignments in several of the following manufacturing engineering functions:- Design for Manufacturability - Provide early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable- Works all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life.- Build request for Quotation/Proposal (RFQ/RFPs), Prioritize multi-functional reviews of the machine requirements, design, qualification and capability and engage machine suppliers for automated equipment design reviews and proposals- Failure/Data Analysis - Specifies test to be performed, compiles data and makes recommendations for product design changes and final assembly standards. This will include the use of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis using Six Sigma principles.- Up to 10% international travel
