Job summary

Clemens Food Group seeks a seasoned Controls & Automation Technician to design, troubleshoot, commission, and continuously improve automation systems in our manufacturing operations. You’ll work across PLCs, HMIs, drives, robotics, SCADA, and data acquisition to reduce downtime and bottlenecks.

The role emphasizes startup and validation of new and modified systems, with a focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with automation systems and production equipment.
• Strong PLC programming and HMI troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and design layouts.
• Experience with robotics integration and SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems.
• Develop layouts, select components, and maintain control drawings.
• Perform root-cause analysis on equipment and production issues.
• Support startup, commissioning, and validation of automation projects.
• Create SOPs and documentation for lifecycle management.
• Train maintenance and production staff on best practices.
