Job summary

ATS Industrial Automation seeks a seasoned automation engineer to design and develop world-class automation solutions. You will lead projects with full responsibility for teams, schedules, milestones and budgets, and work with PLC/PC software using Rockwell and Siemens platforms.

You will also support integration at customer sites worldwide, including programming PLCs, testing hardware/software, and mentoring junior members of the team. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in engineering field.
• 5+ years PLC/HMI programming experience.
• 3 years hands-on automation experience with SCADA/MES.
• Proficient in Visual Basic, C#, Python.
• Experience with instrumentation and sensors.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC/PC software per project requirements.
• Program PLCs on Rockwell/Siemens platforms.
• Test and integrate hardware/software components.
• Debug and commission control systems at customer sites.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with project managers.
