Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking a Project Manager II to lead automation projects in our Texas offices. You will manage electrical control system design, PLC/HMI programming, and SCADA development while coordinating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role emphasizes mentoring engineers, expanding the controls & automation portfolio, and maintaining strong client relationships across industrial sectors in the region.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in automation solutions for consumer products or industrial design.
• Experience with electrical control systems design and automation programming.
• Proficiency with Rockwell hardware/software; Siemens/Wonderware/GE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage project tasks including hardware and panel design, PLC and HMI programming, SCADA design, power distribution design, and all related documentation.
• Oversee proposal preparation, estimating, scheduling, resources, staffing, contract negotiation, order processing, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, develop and grow the controls & automation business in the local office and region; cultivate and maintain relationships with key client contacts.
