Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in the United States is seeking a Project Manager to join the Control System Integration Practice. You will partner with leaders, technical specialists, and clients to deliver high-quality automation solutions on capital projects.

You will lead hardware/panel design, PLC/HMI/SCADA work, and drive proposals, scheduling, and staffing while mentoring teams and maintaining client relationships across the office and region.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing and providing automation solutions.
• Experience designing electrical control systems for process applications.
• Proficiency in Rockwell hardware and software.
• Experience with Siemens, Wonderware, and GE software/hardware.
• Experience in food & beverage, pulp & paper, or other industrial industries.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel for project requirements including installations and meetings.
• B.S. Electrical Engineering preferred; other engineering degrees considered with experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage project tasks including hardware and panel design, PLC and HMI programming.
• Oversee project execution: proposals, estimating, scheduling, resources, staffing, and contracts.
• Ensure proper use of company facilities.
• Lead and grow the controls & automation business in the local office and region; build client relationships.
• Mentor professionals and provide feedback, evaluation, and career development guidance.
• Participate in governance and firm-wide standards adoption.
• Assist with strategic business planning and annual vision development for the group.
• Collaborate with recruiting to hire professionals into the group.
• Provide quarterly reporting to partners and coordinate with finance for reporting.
