Job summary

Current Power Solutions, Inc. seeks a senior Manager, Controls and Automation to lead the development, deployment, and lifecycle support of controls and automation systems.

You will directly manage Field Engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams across drilling, marine, and BESS applications. Responsibilities include sustaining support for Wrench and Catwalk, developing field engineering talent, and aligning system architectures with customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PLC programming and HMI development experience.
• 5+ years of generator-controls and power-distribution-system experience.
• Experience supervising and developing engineering or field-service personnel.
• Experience with Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, and CANBUS protocols.
• Ability to develop and review control-system architecture, drawings and manuals.
• Strong project management, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Controls and Automation function and directly manage all Field Engineers.
• Manage automation engineering personnel and third-party resources for development, deployment and service.
• Translate requirements into scalable system architecture and implementation plans.
• Oversee design, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of PLC/HMI hardware and software.
• Apply control-system theory to develop algorithms and architectures for drilling, marine, power distribution, and BESS applications.
• Coordinate with development and field teams to test and deploy urgent hot fixes and software updates.
