Kohler Co. in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking a Senior Engineer, Controls & Automation to support, maintain, and improve automation systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

You will focus on controls reliability, robotics, troubleshooting, and implementing new technologies, with close collaboration across Production, Maintenance, and Process Engineering. The role requires a hands-on mechanical/electrical background, 3+ years in related roles, and authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in controls/automation/manufacturing engineering.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations and resolve controls, robotics, and automation-related issues.
• Lead troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, robotics, machine vision, networks, and equipment.
• Develop, maintain, and improve Rockwell Automation ControlLogix/CompactLogix systems.
• Configure, develop, and support Ignition HMI/SCADA applications.
• Support and optimize a manufacturing environment with 90+ FANUC robots.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for downtime and failures.
• Identify and implement automation and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain controls standards, drawings, and programming guidelines.
• Support capital projects involving automation equipment and new production lines.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to improve performance.
