Job summary
Kohler Co. seeks a Staff Manufacturing Engineer – Automation to lead design and deployment of advanced automation across Kohler's global manufacturing network.
You will partner with plant teams, engineering leaders, and suppliers to build smarter manufacturing systems and ensure readiness from concept through implementation. Requirements include a mechanical engineering degree, 8+ years in automation design, and proficiency with Creo and Fanuc Roboguide.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design of automation.
- Proficiency with Creo (3D modeling) and Fanuc Roboguide is required.
- Experience with AutoCAD and GD&T concepts is beneficial.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Copilot is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and deployment of advanced automation solutions across Kohler's manufacturing network.
- Provide technical leadership from concept through implementation.
- Ensure automation readiness prior to project kick-off and align with long-term strategy.
- Develop business cases and financial justifications for automation investments.
- Collaborate with plant operations engineering teams and suppliers.
- Stay up-to-date on automation methods and tools.
