Johnson-Davis Inc. seeks an experienced Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations for our underground utilities construction business.

The ideal candidate will have strong construction accounting expertise, excellent financial management skills, and the ability to work with project management and executive leadership. Responsibilities include managing GL, AP, AR, payroll and job costing; leading month-end and year-end closes; monitoring job costs, budgets and project

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting and/or Controller-level experience.
• Strong background in construction accounting, preferably underground utilities or heavy civil construction.
• Proven experience preparing and presenting financial reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Proficiency with accounting software systems and Microsoft Office products.

Responsabilités

• Manage all accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and job costing.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Monitor job costs, budgets, and project profitability.
• Prepare and monitor financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and executive leadership on forecasting and cost control.
