Etude Capital LLC is seeking a Controller to own accounting and financial reporting for commercial real estate assets and related investments across multiple entities. You will lead a team of staff accountants, set standards, and ensure every number reaches Etude leadership and partners.

You will build scalable processes and systems to enable growth without proportional headcount, flagging issues before they arise and driving automation using AI tools.

Formación

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant CRE exposure.
• Active CPA license and deep GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with investment accounting and cash management across multiple entities.
• Own month-end and year-end close across multiple properties and legal entities.
• Experience leading and developing a team of accountants.
• Advanced Excel and fluency with accounting/reporting systems.
• Daily use of AI tools and real-world examples.

Responsabilidades

• Own the close: manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close across properties, investments, and entities.
• Direct the consolidation and review results for accuracy and consistency.
• Oversee investment accounting for industrials holdings, including capital contributions and distributions.
• Set controls over cash activity and keep liquidity visibility across real estate and investments.
• Deliver financial statements and management reports for leadership and partners.
• Plan budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis; explain movements.
• Set accounting policies, procedures, and intercompany controls.
• Lead accounting diligence on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and investments.
• Serve as main contact for auditors and tax advisors; collaborate with lenders and managers.
• Automate workflows with AI tools and better systems to boost analysis over manual work.
• Hire, coach, and develop staff accountants; raise performance standards.
