Milwaukee Health Services seeks a senior accounting leader to manage monthly financial statements and the corporate accounting team. You will ensure GAAP compliance, oversee grant, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable, and partner with external auditors on the 990 return.

The role emphasizes accurate reporting, internal controls, and strategic financial analysis. You will mentor staff, coordinate with departments, and drive process improvements to support the healthcare nonprofit’s mission.

Competenze

• BS in Accounting required.
• CPA certification required.
• MBA preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting leadership.
• Healthcare nonprofit experience is a plus.

Mansioni

• Prepare monthly corporate financial statements and notes.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll and grant accounting accuracy.
• Lead the corporate accounting team and perform annual reviews.
• Reconcile significant G/L accounts and resolve issues.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and item resolutions.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle on cash postings and bad debt.
• Support grants/donations accounting across departments.
• Oversee year-end audit and 990 tax return with outside firm.
• Review accounting policies and ensure internal controls.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
