Job summary

Change Church Inc. seeks a Controller to lead accounting operations across multiple sites, ensuring GAAP-compliant financial reporting and strong internal controls. You will manage the general ledger, monthly and year-end closes, and collaborate with the CFO to provide timely financial insight.

The role requires nonprofit accounting experience, leadership capabilities, and expertise in Sage Intacct and Ramp, with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and strategic financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Requires strong GAAP knowledge and nonprofit reporting.
• Experience leading monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
• Ability to design and maintain internal controls and policies.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and lead close processes for multiple sites.
• Prepare GAAP-aligned financial statements and schedules.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, giving, cash receipts, and disbursements.
• Develop accounting policies and internal controls; monitor compliance.
• Collaborate with CFO and cross-functional teams on reporting and planning.
