Benchmark Insurance Group of Texas and Rise Group Investments seek a Senior Corporate Controller to lead the accounting and finance functions across both entities inHouston, TX. The role demands hands-on leadership, strong GAAP knowledge, and strategic financial planning to support growth and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include managing month-end closes, consolidations, treasury, risk management, and implementation of controls and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years in accounting/finance with senior leadership experience.
• Experience in insurance, real estate, or investment firms is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and multi-entity accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; ability to implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, finance, and financial reporting for Benchmark Insurance Group and Rise Group Investments.
• Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and compliant procedures.
• Provide strategic financial guidance on budgeting, planning, and profitability.
• Collaborate on investment evaluation, risk management, and forecasting.
• Lead month-end/year-end closes and consolidate financial statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage general ledger, payables, receivables, and payroll.
• Drive process improvements and automation in financial operations.
