Job summary

Atlantis Fire Protection, LLC seeks an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function from our Dallas office, overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, audits, and intercompany activity. You will guide the accounting team, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with executives to support strategic growth and operational excellence.

The role requires CPA certification and 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required.
• Minimum 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience with 3–5 years in supervision.
• Audit background with external tax advisor collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing month-end close and annual audit processes.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to operating companies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare financial statements and MGMT reports.
• Coordinate intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities.
• Manage annual audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Develop integration plans for newly acquired companies and ensure continuity of reporting.
• Ensure tax compliance with municipal, state and federal authorities; coordinate with external tax consultants.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team; foster accuracy and accountability.
• Oversee cash management, forecasting, and banking relationships.
