Job summary

Korn Ferry is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting. The role focuses on managing the month-end close, maintaining accurate records, and improving processes to ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong experience managing month-end close processes.
• Advanced account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Oversee general ledger accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Support external audits and coordinate audit requests.
• Manage cash flow reporting and balance sheet integrity.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and accounting efficiencies.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Utilize NetSuite to manage accounting operations, reporting, and data accuracy.
