Job summary

JP Morgan Natural Capital, based in Portland, OR, seeks an experienced Controller to oversee daily accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls for global portfolios.

You will lead a team with the Assistant Controller and Director of Accounting, ensure U.S. GAAP and IFRS compliance, coordinate with external advisors, and drive ERP optimization for multi-currency reporting.

Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on accounting expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience managing accounting operations for multiple entities including international subsidiaries.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and respond to stakeholders' needs.
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, and Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes for accurate financial statements.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
• Oversee tax compliance and reporting for new international entities.
• Lead completion of Annual Audited Financial Statements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS; implement internal controls.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and cross-functional teams.
