Job summary

Evolving Solution Services seeks a Controller in Sells, AZ to lead financial operations, ensure accuracy and compliance, and provide strategic analysis to support growth. The ideal candidate has a CPA/CMA designation preferred, strong Excel and ERP experience, and a proven record in financial leadership within an educational or similar setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing a team and overseeing accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to senior management.
• Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and audits.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance performance and professional growth.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and tax planning.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
