Columbia Housing Authority (SC) is seeking a Controller to lead the Finance Department, ensure GAAP compliance, and guide budgeting, treasury, and grant administration. The role serves as a strategic partner to the COO/CFO and oversees financial reporting and audits.

The Controller will safeguard assets, ensure HUD compliance, and drive fiscal accountability across the agency’s operations, including capital and development funding and regulatory reporting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; minimum of six years in public sector accounting, budgeting, and financial management.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• CPA licensure preferred; driver’s license may be required for some positions.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and oversee day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
• Serve as senior financial administrator for accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, and compliance.
• Coordinate audits and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and HUD/regulatory filings.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts.
• Oversee grant accounting, fund transfers, and debt management.
