Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Director of Accounting to serve as a senior finance leader for the Power Generation group.

You will lead month-end close, financial reporting and analysis, working capital management, budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision support. You will partner with the President of Power Generation, the CFO, and leaders across engineering, product management, operations, supply chain, strategic sourcing, and commercial teams to drive financial discipline and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
10+ years in progressive finance or accounting roles with emphasis on reporting, planning, analysis and business partnership.
5+ years leading and developing finance professionals.
Experience leading month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and executive-level analysis.
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statements.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end close process and coordinate deliverables across finance and cross-functional partners.
Oversee monthly financial reporting, analyze results vs budget/forecast and communicate insights to leadership.
Manage working capital analysis (receivables, inventory) and cost/performance insights.
Drive budgeting and forecasting for product costs and operating expenses; set assumptions and evaluate risks.
Lead and develop a team of four direct reports; foster accountability and high performance.
Partner with leaders in engineering, product, operations, supply chain and strategic sourcing to enable informed decision making.
