Job summary

Landing Point is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and finance operations for its nationwide advisory client base. The role requires a CPA (preferred) and at least 5 years of progressive finance experience, including general ledger, monthly close, and financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.

You will oversee day-to-day accounting, drive internal controls, and collaborate with leadership to scale financial systems and processes across more than 800 client firms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a Controller or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, audit coordination, and internal controls.
• Experience managing core accounting functions including general ledger, monthly close, accounts payable/receivable, billing, collections, and tax coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and actively execute day-to-day accounting, finance, and billing operations.
• Ensure integrity of financial reporting, internal controls, and core accounting processes.
• Lead monthly close, financial reporting, and accounting functions.
• Execute and continuously improve core financial operations, including billing, invoicing, payment processing, collections, cash management, accounts payable, payroll administration, contract administration, revenue recognition, and financial system maintenance.
• Own day-to-day financial workflows supporting over 800 advisory firm clients.
• Partner with leadership to enhance financial systems, reporting capabilities, and operational processes.
• Support technology and payment platform initiatives.
• Coordinate with external accounting and tax advisors.
• Develop scalable processes and internal controls for growth.
