Job summary

Hazenandsawyer is looking for an Assistant Controller in Raleigh, NC, to lead and coordinate financial reporting and internal controls. This is a key leadership role supporting a growing engineering consulting firm.

The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting experience and be proficient in Deltek Vantagepoint ERP. This hybrid role allows for flexibility with three days in the office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role.
• Demonstrated experience with Deltek Vantagepoint in a professional services environment.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and cost allocation principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accuracy.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Design and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets.
