Chadwick-BaRoss, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead financial reporting and month-end close for a growing heavy construction equipment dealership operating across the Northeast United States and Toronto, Canada.

The Controller will manage a 3–4 person team, ensure US GAAP compliance, oversee floorplan financing, and coordinate audits with external auditors while supporting strategic initiatives across multi-location operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7–10 years progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with Canadian GAAP/IFRS is a plus.
• Experience with floorplan financing or inventory financing structures.
• Proficiency with ERP or dealership management systems (CDK, Procede, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in US GAAP.
• Oversee US and Canadian operations financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Administer and reconcile floorplan financing and inventory tracking.
• Oversee A/P and A/R, cash flow optimization, and vendor relations.
• Supervise and develop a 3–4 person accounting staff.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations across jurisdictions.
