Staff Financial Group seeks an experienced Controller (CPA) to oversee all financial operations for a growth-focused organization in Dallas, onsite. The role combines hands-on accounting with strategic leadership, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalable processes.

The ideal candidate brings CPA credentials, 7+ years of progressive experience, and strong Sage 300 ERP expertise to drive reliable financial reporting and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Advanced proficiency with Sage 300 ERP.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience managing audits and working with external CPA firms.
• Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Strong communication skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Manage cash flow planning and banking relationships.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Optimize and maintain Sage 300 ERP functionality and reporting.
• Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy and growth initiatives.
