Job summary

Bank CMG, headquartered in Madison, WI, seeks a hands-on Controller to lead our core Accounting operations and financial reporting framework. You’ll supervise the accounting team, manage Call Reports, FR-Y filings, audits, and internal controls for the bank and parent holding company.

This high-visibility role bridges operational accounting, risk management, and CFO support, with a flexible hybrid work schedule from Madison, WI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Call Reports/FR-Y, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead & mentor the Accounting team and oversee daily operations.
• Oversee balancing, reconciliations, AP, fixed assets, and portfolio accounting.
• Own external and regulatory reporting including Call Reports and FR-Y filings.
• Drive audit processes and tax compliance with external advisors.
• Strengthen policies, risk controls, and RACM alignment with CFO.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
