Job summary

Mutual Security Credit Union in Norwalk, CT seeks a Controller to lead the Accounting and Finance team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls. You will drive ALM, budgeting, forecasting, and asset-liability management to support strategic decisions and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years in financial leadership within a credit union or bank, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business, and strong communication and analytical skills to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 7–10 years’ experience in a financial institution at a management position overseeing accounting and finance activities.
• Expertise in asset liability management, cash management, reconciliation, audits and tax reporting.
• Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ALM, financial analysis, and forecasting activities.
• Lead Accounting & Finance Department, manage staff, and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory reporting with external and internal teams.
• Develop and monitor budgeting, controls, and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
