Job summary

GrayMatter is seeking a qualified engineer to support control systems projects across data centers, power generation, and manufacturing. You will design, develop and implement solutions, coordinating mechanical, electrical and controls work to ensure seamless operation across platforms.

You’ll lead commissioning activities, create test scripts, validate documentation, and train end users on new applications while supporting project planning and client needs. The role may require up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in SCADA, control systems design and troubleshooting.
• Experience with electrical schematics and power distribution fundamentals.
• Customer-focused problem solving and detailed documentation.

General Job Duties:

• Performing GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems common in data center, power generation, and advanced manufacturing industries.
• Designing, developing and implementing solutions to achieve project goals.
• Lead integration and coordination between mechanical, electrical, and controls systems to ensure seamless operation across platforms.
• Lead development and execution of commissioning procedures, test scripts, and documentation validation.
• Consulting with and training end users on new applications
• Assisting in project development and planning.
• The location of the position is local, but could require up to 50% travel throughout a calendar year.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience and training may also be considered

1+ years of relevant working experience with:

• SCADA Systems: Ignition
• Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting
• Experience with industrial application programming languages
• Experience with Electrical Schematics, Power Distribution, Water/Cooling systems.
• Acute attention to detail and process, Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions and Excellent customer service attitude

Preferred experience:

• AutoCAD or Drafting experience

The target annual base compensation for this position is competitive and based upon relevant qualifications and experience. This role may also include a fixed monthly living stipend or daily per diem when traveling.
