GrayMatter is seeking a Control Systems Engineer in Florida to design, develop, implement, and support control systems for clients. The role includes training end users, performing pilots, and participating in project planning.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in EE/EET/ME/MET or equivalent with 4+ years of control systems experience, electrical schematics, and industrial programming knowledge. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform GrayMatter services to meet client needs with focus on control systems.
• Design, develop, and implement solutions to resolve customer issues.
• Consult with and train end users on new applications.
• Assist in project development and planning.
• Perform onsite pilots, FAT/SAT testing, and demos as needed.
• Travel up to 50% of the year; remote-friendly work arrangement.

We're looking for aControl Systems Engineerto join our team! This position will focus on managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.

General Job Duties:

• Performing GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems
• Designing, developing and implementing solutions to resolve customer issues
• Consulting with and training end users on new applications
• Assisting in project development and planning.
• Performing onsite pilots, FAT testing, SAT testing, and demos as needed
• The location of the position is local is remote with up to 50% travel throughout a calendar year.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience and training may also be considered

4+ years of relevant working experience with:

• Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting
• Experience with industrial application programming languages
• Experience with Electrical Schematics
• Acute attention to detail and process, Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions and Excellent customer service attitude

Preferred experience:

• AutoCAD or Drafting experience
• Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)
• Siemens PLC and SCADA platform experience

The target annual base compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000, based upon relevant qualifications.
