Job Summary

Works on a variety of control system projects Capable of leading several project related tasks andor large strategic projectssimultaneously Provides engineering support on projects led by others Assumes ultimate responsibility for the assigned projectstasks Takesdirection and seeks guidance from the assigned project leads the supervisors and company leadership

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science; Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Computer Science or other pertinent curriculum combined withrelevant technical experienceTypically 10 years total experience

Proven Track Record

3 years as Control Systems Project Engineer II or equivalent

Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities Lead train and mentor co workers during start up and commissioning of systemsExpert in reading and interpreting piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams Able to provide feedback regarding fieldconditions versus drawingsExpert with Human Machine Interface HMI and Programmable Logic Controller PLC applicationsAssists in maintaining the companys Quality Management System QMSFirm understanding of migration paths and upgrading of legacy control systemsAble to independently design complex control systemsProvide instrumentation specifications for complex control systemsValue engineer specifications to provide the most cost effective solutionsLeads detailed design of complex Information Technology IT systems network infrastructure and computer system designs as itrelates to control system integrationHighly competent in the design of complex HMI systemsAble to author complex design documents

Communicate in an effective positive and proactive manner with customersFollow customer specific site standards and proceduresAlways conduct business in professional mannerProvide excellent customer care and supportBe patient attentive and responsive to customers in solving their problemsAlways follow up and honor commitments with customersExpert in understanding and servicing customer needs and provides recommendations to enhance those needs

Project Responsibilities

Complete assigned tasks accurately on schedule and under budgetLead individual project related tasks andor large projects in their entiretyAssume the ultimate responsibility for the successful completion of projects or tasks on schedule and under budgetTake on the role of the customers main contact on those projects that the employee is assigned to leadIdentify changes in scope to overall projects andor tasksProvide support on other projects or tasks that are scheduled to be led by othersManage and delegate assigned tasks accurately on schedule and under budgetUnderstands and anticipates customer needsAccurately estimates the duration and difficulty of tasksEnsures the team adheres to a realistic schedule and budgetSeeks opportunities for new work with customers and contractors

Supervisory Responsibilities

Where applicable directs and oversees junior or subordinate staff members regarding construction operations andor maintenancetasks and assignments at a project site
