About The Role
Dimensional Energy, a leader in the production of sustainable fuels and other chemicals from carbon dioxide, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, experienced Control Systems Engineer. This role will involve upgrading current designs and implementing new control systems. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with other plant systems.
- Install and configure DCS/PLC network hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Write and optimize control logic for the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
- Collaborate with process engineers to fine-tune control algorithms.
- Develop automation and instrumentation strategies to improve processes and manage relationships with vendors and third-party programmers.
- Maintain documentation for all DCS, SIS, and PLC systems, including logic diagrams, narratives, SIL verification calculations, safety requirements, and software.
- Identify and optimize control schemes to enhance safety, operability, and profitability.
- Develop component specifications and review vendor proposals.
- Perform loop testing and fine-tune control parameters for optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Train operations and maintenance teams on control systems.
- Participate in safety reviews and audits.
- Support commissioning and start-up activities for new facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least ten years of systems engineering experience.
- Proficiency in coding, Python, Canary Lab, and networking.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley control systems preferred.
- Strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in project management and debottlenecking.
- Willingness to be based at project locations as needed, preferably in Tucson, AZ, or Houston, TX.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Pay and Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000-160,000 depending on experience.
