Job summary

Qualifications

• Must complete all required Control Room Operator training.
• Demonstrate basic math, electricity, chemistry and power plant science knowledge.
• Able to read prints and interpret instrumentation readings accurately.
• Document conditions in the Maintenance Management System.
• Communicate clearly by phone and PA system; follow safety protocols.
• Work well in a team and follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor major and auxiliary equipment in a combined cycle plant.
• Perform start-ups, shutdowns and emergency procedures per SOPs.
• Follow safety guidelines and comply with regulations (NERC/env).
• Maintain logs, data sheets, reports, and time sheets.
• Assist in investigations and provide analyses and corrective actions.
• Perform switching, tagging, and housekeeping duties as required.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager and Lead Operators on shift operations.
