Job summary

Mission Critical Group, an end-to-end power solutions provider, is seeking a Control Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for generators, including paralleling systems, ATS, PLCs, HMIs, and protective relaying.

The role requires a strong electrical engineering foundation, experience in switchgear control, and willingness to travel based on project scope; you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in control system design and implementation, preferably in the switchgear industry.
• Technical knowledge to develop and design low/medium voltage switchgear, generator and automatic transfer controls.
• Experience with generator controls (Woodward), single and paralleling systems, ATS, ATO.
• Familiarity with PPE protocols and electrical safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• System Design: design and develop control systems based on project requirements and timelines.
• Develop control system architectures for switchgear manufacturing processes with safety, reliability and efficiency considerations.
• Develop and maintain HMI terminals for user interaction with controllers.
• Integrate control systems for low and medium voltage switchgear.
