Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking a Control Engineer to design, develop and implement control systems for generators, including paralleling systems, ATS, PLCs and HMIs. The role requires applying electrical engineering principles to improve efficiency, reliability and safety across projects.

You will travel as needed to install, commission, and troubleshoot systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project timelines. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in control system design and implementation, preferably for switchgear.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control systems for generators, including paralleling systems and ATS.
  • Develop control architectures with hardware and software specs for switchgear manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain HMIs for operator interaction with controllers.
  • Write PLC/ HMI code and integrate with protective relays and sequencing logic.
  • Test, troubleshoot and commission control systems to ensure safety and compliance.
