Job Details

The Sr. Contract Specialist role is responsible for reviewing agreements, handling the administration and customer contact activities associated with contract execution, and processing in accordance with company policies, legal and compliance requirements, and customer specifications. This role ensures the accuracy and consistency of contract content through coordination and validation with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, it tracks and reports on contract status and maintains and updates systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. Training stakeholders on contractual requirements is also part of this role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Reviews, prepares, and evaluates agreements prior to signature to ensure accuracy and interpret and influence performance requirements, delivery obligations, timelines, costs, and payment schedules, aiming to minimize Lash Group's exposure to risk.
  2. Works closely with Legal, Finance, and other subject matter experts to validate contract content and resolve inconsistencies promptly.
  3. Assesses the need for legal review and engages Corporate Counsel or Vice President of Shared Services as needed; assists them by managing priorities and customer expectations.
  4. Supports complex contracting issues alongside the Senior Manager, Contracts.
  5. Develops and conducts training on contract policies and acumen for new hires and stakeholders.
  6. Supports inquiries regarding contracting, compliance policies, procedures, risks, and contract status from business stakeholders.
  7. Responsible for contract software management and reporting.
  8. Develops and maintains a library of contractual content, including common language, special terms, and client-specific requirements.
  9. Performs daily system maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure tracking system accuracy.
  10. Manages contractual documents across all business platforms.
  11. Leads weekly contracting status calls with business leaders.
  12. Manages the contract administration email inbox.
  13. Maintains templating documents and manages the master contracting data repository.
  14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification, with 5-7 years of experience in contracting or law firm settings. Knowledge of contractual/legal terms and conditions is essential. Experience in healthcare industry consulting is preferred.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draft contractual language and proofread meticulously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to evaluate risks, urgency, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, and familiarity with iCertis is preferred.
  • Ability to contribute ideas for improving team efficiency and effectiveness.

Salary Range*

$72,200 - 103,290 (varies by location). Note that salaries in certain states may be up to 10% lower or 12% higher than the range listed.
