Job Details

The Sr. Contract Specialist role is responsible for reviewing agreements, handling the administration and customer contact activities associated with contract execution, and processing in accordance with company policies, legal and compliance requirements, and customer specifications. This role is responsible for the accuracy and consistency of contract content through coordination and validation with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, this role is responsible for the tracking and reporting of contract status, and for maintaining and updating systems to ensure accuracy, integrity and timeliness of data at all times. This role will also train stakeholders on contractual requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Review, prepare, and evaluate agreements prior to signature to ensure accuracy and interpret and influence performance requirements, delivery obligations, timelines, costs, and payment schedules with the goal of minimizing Lash Group's exposure to risk.
  2. Work closely with Legal, Finance and other subject matter experts to validate content and context of contract to resolve inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  3. Assess and identify the need for legal review and engage Corporate Counsel and/or Vice President of Shared Services, as needed; assist them by setting and managing evolving priorities and customer expectations.
  4. Assist Senior Manager, Contracts with complex contracting issues.
  5. Develop and conduct training in contract acumen and policies for new hires and stakeholders.
  6. Support inquiries from business stakeholders regarding contracting and compliance policies, procedures, risks, and contract status.
  7. Responsible for contract software management reporting.
  8. Develop and maintain a contractual content library of commonly used contract language, special terms and conditions, and client-specific requirements.
  9. Conduct daily maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain accuracy in tracking systems.
  10. Manage contractual documents across all business platforms.
  11. Lead weekly contracting status calls with business leaders.
  12. Manage the contract administration email inbox.
  13. Maintain templating documents.
  14. Manage the master contracting data repository for pending contracts.
  15. Perform related duties as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements:

Requires training and understanding in fields such as legal, business administration, grant/contract management or similar, generally obtained through a four-year Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification; requires five to seven years of direct experience in contracting and/or law firm experience; working knowledge of reading, writing, and understanding contractual/legal terms and conditions. Experience in healthcare industry consulting is preferred.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze, identify, and draft contractual language when sections are missing. Impeccable proofreading skills - attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and advanced analytical skills related to contract information.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to evaluate risk, urgency, and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers and software, especially MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, and experience with iCertis is preferred.
  • Ability to offer and implement ideas to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

Salary Range*

$72,200 - 103,290. This range reflects a national average; actual salaries may vary based on location, with adjustments in Colorado, California, Washington, New York, Hawaii, Vermont, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Illinois.
