Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree involving major study in public administration, business law, accounting, or closely related field.
• Three years of government contracts experience.
• Experience coordinating at least five procurements resulting in a contract valued at $100,000+.
• Working knowledge of procurement regulations, rules, procedures, and policies.
• Ability to handle multiple and changing assignments and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer agency contracts, leases, and agreements.
• Assist contracts manager in clearly defining the programmatic work for contracts, grants, or agreements.
• Review proposals to support agency-wide contract administration.
• Facilitate and manage receiving and evaluating proposals and bids for compliance.
• Independently organize and maintain the contracts database and documentation.
• Manage renewals, extensions, amendments, and terminations of contracts.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts for better terms and conditions.
• Provide consultation on contractual terms to reduce agency risk.
