Job summary

Seattle Children's is seeking a contracts professional to manage the Legal Department contracting function, editing and drafting a wide variety of documents, and supporting attorneys with initial reviews. You will develop templates, checklists, and trainings, acting as a primary liaison with other departments to improve contracting processes.

The role includes providing backup coverage and participating in continuous process improvement within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of experience supporting contract review and management in a law firm, in-house legal department, or equivalent governmental agency.
• Paralegal certification from ABA-approved program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages Legal Department contracting function and liaises with other departments to improve processes.
• Performs advanced contract editing and drafting of a wide variety of contracts.
• Assists Legal Department attorneys with initial contract review and drafting.
• Develops templates, checklists, and trainings related to contracts.
• Provides backup coverage to other Department staff to ensure continuous coverage.
