Job summary

Tufts University is seeking a Contract Manager to lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of complex procurement agreements across multiple spend categories including Capital Projects, IT, and Research services.

You will collaborate with faculty and staff, engage with OGC and privacy/risk teams, and maintain templates and clause libraries to ensure compliant contracting and efficient processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• 7+ years relevant contracting experience across multiple spend categories.
• Strong analytical, project management, and negotiation skills.
• Experience drafting and negotiating contract language (NDAs, PSAs, MSAs, GSAs, CSAs, BAAs, SOWs).
• Experience reviewing business and legal terms across diverse spend categories including IT, facilities, research, and academic services.
• Ability to assess risk and educate stakeholders during supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle process for high complexity procurement agreements.
• Triaging contract requests from university stakeholders and drafting/reviewing contracts.
• Support the sourcing team by guiding negotiations and providing alternative language.
• Use contract lifecycle management tools such as Jaggaer and DocuSign.
• Coordinate with OGC, Data Privacy, Risk Office, and other partners as needed.
• Maintain standard contracting templates and clause libraries.
• Coordinate with procurement on strategic sourcing and competitive bids.
