Job summary

Tufts University seeks an Assistant Director of Capital Projects Procurement to lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting for capital projects. You will oversee RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and negotiated contracts, aligning procurement with university policy and cost optimization.

The role requires hands-on development of solicitations, coordinating with project planners, and guiding procurement teams to deliver high-volume procurements on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement and contracting for architecture, engineering and construction management services.
• Experience with procurement and contracting for an institutional or large-organization entity managing facility projects.
• Portfolio management of multiple bids and solicitations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft tools and project management software such as PMWeb/PeopleSoft.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing to contracting for Capital Projects.
• Develop scope, specification and appropriate solicitation documents.
• Ensure adherence to Procurement policies and project timelines.
• Establish and maintain a preferred architects, engineers, GCs, and CMs program.
• Coordinate contract review with General Counsel and Project Managers.
• Provide regular updates on solicitations and contracts to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and approve deviations as needed.
