Job summary

The Clearing House in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Contracts Paralegal to support its Legal Department in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a broad range of commercial agreements, with emphasis on cloud, software, and AI-related terms.

You will work with internal teams and external parties to move contracts forward, improve processes, and guide other paralegals, reporting to the Senior Manager Paralegal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• ABA-approved paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible paralegal experience.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing complex commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of cloud, software, technology, and AI-related terms.
• Familiarity with AI tools in legal work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Negotiate contract terms with vendors and third parties.
• Review cloud services, SaaS, software, and AI-related agreements.
• Work with Procurement, Information Security, Technology, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management, and business teams.
• Provide guidance to internal partners on contract terms and strategy.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, clause libraries and playbooks.
• Provide oversight to other paralegals and support attorneys with legal research and regulatory requests.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and service providers.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and governance.
