Virginia Transformer Corp is seeking a Contracts Negotiator to support review, negotiation, and administration of commercial agreements across manufacturing and customer programs. The role collaborates with Sales, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Operations, and project teams to secure workable terms while protecting the company’s interests.

The ideal candidate has strong negotiation, communication skills, and the ability to identify contractual risks in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Five+ years negotiating or administering commercial contracts.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, energy, construction, or project-based environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial contract terms and risk allocation.
• Ability to explain risk clearly and negotiate practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate, and administer customer, supplier, subcontractor, and other commercial agreements.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, payment terms, delivery requirements, warranties, indemnification, liability, insurance, and dispute provisions.
• Review orders and contract documents for alignment with approved terms.
• Identify risks and communicate mitigation options with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain contract records and track status, changes, and deadlines.
• Assist in contract responses, exceptions, and negotiation summaries.
• Help develop templates, playbooks, and approval processes.
