Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead AMP8 delivery across Thames Valley, Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. You will manage multiple projects ranging from £2.5m to £25m, steering Project Managers and site teams to deliver safely, commercially and to high standards.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and a civil engineering background, with CSCS and a relevant degree. A career with long-term infrastructure opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multiple infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Experience in a main contractor environment.
• Strong commercial awareness including budgets, forecasting and profitability.
• CSCS card held or equivalent health&safety certification.
• Chartered status (ICE, CIOB or equivalent) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful delivery of multiple water infrastructure projects, managing programme, budgets, quality and safety.
• Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and wider teams.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Thames Water, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Take ownership of operational performance, ensuring projects meet commercial and contractual objectives.
• Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, forecasting and risk management.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to monitor financial performance and project expenditure.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and more efficient delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and environmental standards.
