Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager in Gulfport, MS to lead complex government and commercial contracts from capture through closeout. You will negotiate terms, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff while partnering with Finance and Program Management.

The role requires 8–10 years in contract administration, strong negotiation skills, and expertise in ERP/CLM systems, with minimal travel possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of progressive contract administration/management experience, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Experience with government prime contracts, subcontracts, FAR/DFARS, ITAR and related acts.

Responsibilities

• Manage government prime contracts and commercial agreements from capture to closeout.
• Draft, negotiate, and approve contractual documents using templates and playbooks.
• Monitor contract obligations, funding, milestones, and risk; escalate as needed.
• Supervise and mentor Contract Administrators; provide training on procedures and standards.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS/ITAR and other regulations; maintain contract records.
• Collaborate with Finance, BD, and Program Management on capture strategies.
