Job summary

Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions in Houston seeks a Contracts Manager to oversee contract development, risk assessment, and claims management within project teams. The role reports to the Director of Contracts and requires strong analytical and communication skills plus a plant engineering understanding.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years of related experience, with fluency in English and proven ability to manage complex contracts across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Law, or related field.
• 5–10 years of related experience.
• Contract form and Contract Management principles.
• Contract Management tools and procedures.
• Basic technical understanding for plant engineering.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Participates in the Front End phase to assess operability of the contract under negotiation.
• Prepares and manages Air Liquide E&C Group Contracts per guidelines.
• Manages contracts and creates contractual awareness within the project team.
• Plans and develops contract and claim management strategies.
• Monitors commercial risks and opportunities during the project lifetime.
• Informs and mentors team members on contractual requirements.
• Sets up and administers claim management logs/tools.
• Facilitates communication between disciplines not directly involved in project execution.
• Establishes relationships with client and supports Project Manager in negotiations.
• Supports legal and procurement for client/vendor claims and audits.
