Position Overview

The Senior Contracts Manager leads contracting activities for government and commercial customers, focusing on regulatory compliance, process efficiency, and standardization across the contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end customer contracting processes from RFP or sole source through wind-down in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Analyze contract terms and conditions; prepare and disseminate information regarding contract requirements and status.
• Ensure contractual agreements comply with company policies, federal, state, and local laws.
• Monitor work schedule to submit contract drafts and documents on time.
• Review and advise on contractual obligations, identify risks and propose solutions, and report to stakeholders.
• Negotiate terms directly with customers, serve as Contracting Officer when required, and coordinate consents.
• Review vendor integrity questionnaires.
• Review invoices to confirm alignment with contracts.
• Leverage contract lifecycle management platforms and dashboards.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities for contract request, preparation, approval, and management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders for effective, timely administration and compliance initiatives.
• Maintain strong organization and multitasking skills to meet multiple deadlines.
• Attend company‑wide meetings and update stakeholders on government sales practice status.
• Explain contract terms and conditions effectively to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Juris Doctorate or Master’s in government procurement is a plus.
• Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM).

• 5‑7 years of experience as a Contracts Manager.
• Strong critical‑thinking and creative problem‑solving skills.
• Customer or supplier‑facing negotiation experience.
• Proficiency in MS 365, project management and contract management platforms.
• Experience with technical writing—standard operating procedures and policy documents preferred.
