Job summary

The Friedkin Group is seeking a skilled paralegal contractor to support our legal team at Friedkin Corporate Campus in Houston, TX. You will review, redline and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including technology, marketing, events and hospitality agreements, and prepare confidential correspondence and reports.

Responsibilities include legal research, due diligence, maintaining accurate legal files, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a paralegal in a legal department.
Conscientious, careful and detail-oriented with proven ability to quickly identify and correct mistakes, inconsistencies and inaccuracies.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and effectively partner with management and associates.
Excellent organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of applicable state laws and regulations relevant to company operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, legal research tools/technology, and contract review and management tools/technology (including AI tools).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain strict confidentiality.
Customer- and stakeholder-focused, with the ability to adapt to change and support evolving business needs.
Understanding of legal department functions and objectives.

Responsibilities

Review, redline and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including technology, marketing, events and hospitality contracts.
Draft and prepare confidential correspondence, pleadings, reports, and other complex legal documentation.
Conduct legal and factual research, investigations, and due diligence; analyze findings and prepare summary reports with recommendations.
Develop and improve processes related to claims management and legal operations.
Maintain accurate legal files, records, and databases.
Review and sort legal files and records based on the Company’s record retention guidelines.
Support strategic legal initiatives and complete special projects as assigned.
Assignment length (estimate): September 14, 2026 – February, 28, 2026, which may be extended as needed.
