Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Developmental Services, seeks a Contract Specialist III to work in the Northeast Regional Office. The CS III will ensure compliance with statutes, regulations, rules, and policies.

Responsibilities include inputting contract data into MMARS, updating ALTR/ICMS, reconciling billing, and assisting providers with funding questions. This is a full-time, on-site role with regular coordination with supervisors and monthly budget reviews.

Qualifications

• Must understand and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies governing unit activities.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze contracts, leases, and related documents.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with sound judgement.
• Strong oral and written communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop unit allocations for the new fiscal year with the Area Director and provider.
• Review contract documents for accuracy and attach proper documentation.
• Input contract information into MMARS from Service Summary Form or Contract Form.
• Update ALTR site information for amendments and fiscal year start.
• Enter updated information from ALTR to ICMS and provide reports to providers.
